Many changes in 4 years.. The newest of which is a new baby!

Since I last posted on this blog many things have changed in my life.

Little Donna is 4 now, loves her princesses and is certainly not my baby anymore!
I got married a few months ago and gained a bonus son that is 2.

I now own a farm with goats and bees and a duck.

Life has a different viewfinder from  5 years ago that's for sure!

I am now 4 weeks 4 days pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy ... That is so strange to me, 4 years ago I thought I was done... God had other plans.

Let's fill you all in on the last couple weeks.

First off I track my ovulation like people track the tides, its like clockwork and it never misses being on time!

My husband and I "planned" on waiting 6 months after being married to adjust to married life before trying for a baby.
Ovulation #1 went by smoothly with no problem. 1 month down 5 to go.

Monday:
4 days before my scheduled, always reliable, like clockwork ovulation #2 we were intimate... Which is supposed to be a safe zone, since sperm only live 72 hours... Well that is, unless your body decides to ovulate a day early... Which happens to be the case here.

Wednesday :
So the day I ovulated I had a dream I was pregnant. The next morning I told my husband that I think we should try the following month for the baby and that I felt we needed to get pregnant sooner than the 6 month wait we had discussed. All the while, not knowing I was pregnant already. He said lets pray about it so we did.

Thursday: we went to the renaissance fair in town, dressed in cute ren fair outfits we have (I have a whole tote of ren fair clothes). I can normally wear my bodice fully synched, no problem, I do it all the time. About an hour in I loosened it , then another hour later I loosened it more about another hour later I felt like I couldn't breathe and I took it off. What?? That has never happened to me!
The next thing that happened was WEIRD! this old lady walks up touches my belly and says "are you expecting?" Knowing "darn well" I ovulate that day and that we spaced it out right I said no. Unbeknownst to me, I already had a pretty little fertilized baby making its way down the fallopian tube. How did this carny know I was pregnant already?
I did feel something going on in my body i chalked i up to the heat and later that night I had a Gaul stone attack and pass a very painful Gaul stone which wiped my body out!  I was very tired after and was in alot of body aches and pains. About 3 years ago I developed a Gaul bladder disease which causes massive amounts of stones. And when they pass hurt like a million little razor blades attached to a steal toe boot kicking you in your side for 45 mins. I have found that Herbalife aloe elevates them well and helps dissolve them so I have been drinking that to help! However the doctor still unsure why I haven't gotten it out said "are you sure you don't want it removed?" My response : god put it in there... So he recommended apple cider vineager and apple juice (I've heard this before) and that was the plan for the next few days!

Friday: we went to visit our friends farm. We go nearly every month for a weekend. Friday went fine but Saturday I felt like poop the whole day!! I felt drained, but I put on a great fake smile and cheery disposition for most of the day. I gained some energy back around 6-7 when we went to a friends house and had a camp fire roasted marshmallows, and had rabbit for the first time! That was yummy!!

Cute little side note our little buck is only 2 weeks old and Kyra was staying
at the farm for 2 weeks so she brought him with her, cause he is her bottle baby this year. And however he still doesn't eat solids, while toasting marshmallows he ate one hahah it was adorable!!

We had an amazing time hanging with Grace and her family until late in the evening (it was like 1 am before going to bed)

We went back to the house and went to bed.
Sunday: I woke up the next morning a ZOMBIE!! I did NOT want to get out of bed, I was SO tired! I chalked it up to not going to bed till late and dragged my butt out of bed. I started feeling "stuff" going on "down south". I am very sensitive and can feel when anything is a miss in my system. I thought maybe my body was having indigestion from first time rabbit? Maybe I'm feeling weird cause I stayed up late? Maybe it's due to the heat?

We went to church. Relief society I felt like crap but mustered through it. I went into sacrament meeting and I just felt so drained I was gonna pass out. I have no idea how I made it through all of the meeting but I did. I went back to the house and took a nap. I just felt sick as a dog. Maybe I had food poisoning? maybe another gaul stone was prepping to come out? Omg maybe I'm pregnant? Was the old wierdo at the ren fair psychic?  I hurry and calculate in my brain. Yep today would be implantation if I were, which would explain the cramping feelings.
No no no I'm just tired because of the Gaul stones.
We head in the road home. About 20 mins into the drive I can keep it to myself anymore, I have to tell my husband cause this baby thing won't get out of my head!
I tell him I think I might could be pregnant and that I am feeling cramping which I think is implantation.
He tells me there's no way I would know this soon, I tell him, I know my body.
I could see on his face he was terrified!  I was like ohhh poor guy.. But in my heart I knew I was right.
5 mins later a Gaul stone hits .. HARD!! it lasted 45 mins and was just excruciating! Especially since we were driving. I had nothing to help with the pain. I used energy work an even had Jeremy help with it to get the pain to pass. I think it shocked him how fast and well it worked. We had never experienced anything like that to date, in our marriage. .. I rested for a couple hours, feeling completely drained from the attack. Then I had another one ... My dear sweet husband instantly put his hand on me and started working the energy. It went away in about 5 mins and I fell asleep. And I didn't wake up till we got home.

Monday I was just DRAINED those Gaul stones took every ounce of energy out of me! I tried to go to Monday afternoon cards and almost fell over!! I went home and napped. I had a dream about a baby. I woke up and still felt awful, I figured I needed to call my doctor and see what he could do. The earliest he had was Thursday. We made the appointment but just to make sure I bought a couple pregnancy tests a few weeks before in preparation to being pregnant. I took the test. It said no.. I threw it away.

Tuesday: The next day I had some energy so I went to the nutrition club where dawn weighed and measured me.. My body fat was down muscle was up lost a ton of inches but GAINED 2 in my boobs??
My friend even questioned me. I told her I thought I was and tested but that I got a negative, and that my period wasn't even due for another 4 days (Saturday). So we wouldn't know for sure for another week, but because of the Gaul bladder issue I didn't know what symptoms were from what ailment!

Wednesday
I felt like garbage all day AGAIN. Took 2 naps! That night I took another pregnancy test it also said no. I thought I may have seen a line so I pulled out the test from 2 days ago and it was positive.. Wait what ?? Why is there a line there?? This confused me. I called Jeremy down stairs and explained it all to him. He said we could get a blood test tomorrow and find out for sure since we were going to the doctors office anyway.
About an hour later while brushing my teeth .. Puukeeeeeeeee everywhere!! That was confirmation enough for me!! I was definitely pregnant!! Jeremy again didn't believe me.

Thursday we went to the appointment. They did a urine pregnancy test, it was negative. He still ordered the hcg blood test since my period was in a day so they levels may not have been high enough for a test to detect. He was getting blood work for the Gaul bladder done anyway so why not add one more test.

At 2:45 I called the office I was put on hold for 15 mins till the doctor could get on the line .. So right at 3:00 he said I was pregnant and had a 23 hcg level and that my Gaul bladder was "being jacked up" I told him duhh I  knew that, but I cared more about the pregnancy.

So there it was I was pregnant again..

But this time I'm married.. It will be a different experience I'm sure!

I thought about if I should do a new blog for the new baby. I decided to keep writing in this one. So here it is.

Almost time!!

So much to blog about today ! First Look at all the fun stuff Ive been making laitly! I made a really cute car seat cover :) these pictures REALLY don't do it justice! I wanted the car seat cover to be more than just a car seat cover, but be multi functional! As an utter cover when I'm nursing, another blanket and of coarse as a car seat cover :) I couldn't find any utter covers and car seat covers that were combined... So I made it!!! and it worked out GREAT!
The utter cover part
The underside of the cover
This picture in NO WAY shows how gorgeous this flower accessory is. Its a white flower with a really pretty pink butterfly.
The finished and ready to go cover :)
My cute 37 week prego picture! I am thinking I'm gonna have this baby this week so I needed to get another picture in before I POP!!

So this week has been fun :) All day Monday and Tuesday I had such terrible back pain. I didn't notice if it was regular or not, I just chalked it up to being so far along and that my body was starting to fight against the gravity finally. So I went to my chiropractor on Tuesday i kept saying "man my back is just killing me!" so he kept adjusting adjusting adjusting... the pain was a little better but not gone... SO I was like whatever.. it must just be the weight of the baby on my body is finally taking its toll! Wed I went into my Dr's appt and he did an exam to see how I am doing and guess what? the back pain wasn't for nothing! It was labor pains! I was already dilated to 2 cm, baby was at station 3, and 50% effaced! I was a little SHOCKED to hear how far along I was already! so Thursday I was feeling contractions every hour .. half hour.. whatever.. no big deal :) just getting the body ready :)
Friday I woke up with a nasty rash and needed to see the Dr. so I called them up and they scheduled me to come in in about a half hour. Getting ready to go I went to the bathroom and guess what? I lost my mucous plug :) I showered quickly then went right in. While I was there he checked me again. I was 2 1/2 cm station 2 and 75% effaced.. my labor was just moving along! I asked him if I was totally fine to go to work. He was like yeah thats ok, just stay off my feet and stay in Cedar City. I told him that would be hard cause I work in St. George. He basically forbade me to leave Cedar. Because he didn't want me to have the elevation change and didn't want my water to break down there because of how quick I had Kyra he didn't want me to be far from home.
I checked how fast my contractions were coming so I made the decision to go down to St. George and to have my sister Christina drive down with me so that if I DID go into labor she could drive me back. I was able to see all my kids, all through working the contractions were staying at 30-45 mins apart. Chrissy and i stopped at my favorite place ever (in and out) and ate some dinner. My contractions started coming every 15 mins then once we were half way home it was about 8 minutes apart. I thought.. YEAH :) I made it home I'll be ok to have this baby now!
I got home around 8, kept watching the clock and keeping track of the contractions. They were wavering from 8-5 mins apart. My birthing partner is in California this week, I texted her to let her know what was going on, she gave me her friend's number whom she talked to bout helping just in case, she was a professional doula and said she would love to help! So I called the Doula at 10 and let her know that its probably gonna be tonight. She said she wanted to come over to go over some things and that she would prefer that she be there long before the contractions become intense so that she can get things ready. At this point the contractions aren't painful AT ALL!! I feel them theres just no discomfort or pain at all right now! She got over here, the first thing she asked for was "do you have a crock pot?" I tilted my head and went Huh ? LOL she explained it was to keep hot towels warm so I was like Ohhhhhh.. LOL so she got that stuff ready then we went over my Hypnobirthing folder. She is a Bradley Birth instructor, I was a little worried about the fact that she wasn't incredibly familiar with hypnobirthing but it ended up ok. So we practiced some techniques that she will use later in the labor I was feeling really confident at this point! So I went to bed so that I could get some rest at around 12. I kept having dreams about contractions, I could feel them even sleeping. I woke up around 5-6 times every hour I was still having contractions 8 minutes apart by the time I finally got up for the day at 6:30. The Doula said that since there isn't much change she was gonna go and she suggested walking around Walmart for 2 hours. I agreed that would be the best measure too! So I went to Walmart, I thought I was gonna DIE a half hour into my walking! I want really paying attention to how fast the contractions were at that point, but I was defiantly feeling the contractions more than I had the night before so I thought that it was a great sign! I finally left Walmart after walking an hour and a half (cause I was totally pooped by then!) I picked up some caster oil to maybe put the contractions closer or something. So I got home, took only a teaspoon with some juice (to induce labor they suggest 1-3 tablespoons) so I figured it was just a little so it wouldn't hurt. I mixed it with a shot of juice mixed it up and swallowed like a shot. It was kinda chunky LOL but it wasn't gross. I was a little tired so I took a nap for like 4 hours. When I woke up I was expecting to be in further labor.. Shocked.. I wasn't! My contractions were GONE.. and to make matters worse the caster oil gave me diarrhea! (I know tmi, but I figured its IS part of the story!)
So now I'm having irregular contractions this morning and I don't know whats gonna happen! I kinda want to go in to labor and delivery just to see where it is now LOL but that would be just silly! So who knows if its gonna happen today.. but we shall see! I'm gonna go to church and go on with my day!

My sister Kathy sent me this baby cake. the pictures don't show all the cute stuff on the cake! it says on the ribbons, in cute sparkly letters Welcome Baby Donna!

BABY SHOWER

The Game winner presents

The first few presents that arrived (and the travel system)
Kyra preparing the tray with the butterflies
Kyra bored waiting for the party to start already

So I just had my baby shower :) Loved it :) it was really fun, not too long, lots of people came (I was worried about that) :) So over all I was happy about it :) On a side note I have reaffirmed why I am having a birthing photographer LOL there were almost NO pictures of my guests :( which makes me sad :( and there were no pictures of the WONDERFUL FOOD that my mom and I spent DAYS MAKING!
I'm gonna try to describe everything so that you know all that we made for the party :)
First off Kyra has Celliac Disease so I made it very clear to my mom that I wanted as much Gluten free food as possible and for the most part she conformed. We even made the little cupcakes out of a gluten free cake mix :)
OK so on the "snacky table" we had made:
  • pink and purple chocolates that were butterflies and flowers
  • the cupcake tower with mini cupcakes decorated with pink and purple frosting and little white flowers on top and some of the butterfly chocolates on top (kinda like they were going from flower to flower.. it was really cute.
  • chips and dips
On the counter where the "meal food" was we made:
  • My oh so famous Grilled chicken, Spinach and cheese- bow tie pasta (I looked really hard to find the pasta gluten free with no success :( )
  • A really stinking yummy Waldorf salad (normally I hate Waldorf salad but this was way good, along with the regular junk in the Waldorf salad we also put pineapple, dried cranberries, yogurt and some other stuff which dressed it up all good :)
  • I don't know what to call this next thing but we made shaped bread in flowers and hearts and toasted them with a spinach dip, ham and cheese they were really good too :)
And to drink we did the typical sprite and raspberry sherbet, but then we also added frozen berries which made it different and dressed it up REALLY NICE!

The games we played were some fun ones :) we had a trivia game that had like 12 questions on it about having a baby.. some were kinda hard. I cant remember who won that game.
Then we played baby bingo (just like at Kyra's baby shower) where they had a blank bingo card and a bunch of names to choose from putting all over the board. it made it nice in the beginning because people were able to fill those out while waiting for other people to show-up :)
The final game was the baby changing game. There were groups of 4 people and they raced to: unwrap their baby from its blanket, take off its clothes change its diaper, put on a new outfit, and re-swaddle then pass it to the next team member.. then time stopped when everyone was finished. There ended up being 3 teams, with times of 10:00 5:56 and 6:10those 2 teams were CLOSE...

After the food and the games.. we then opened presents .. the funnest part for the mommy hahaha getting STUFF is always fun!

I'm gonna post all the pictures from the party and I'll just title all the pictures presents. the few presents that didn't get a picture however was Diapers, wipes, and travel bath stuff from Diane, and the travel system from my mother (but you can see the travel system in alot of the other pictures too)

(I had to post another blog to put the pictures because Blogger is acting wird about me adding too many pictures :P )

Hypno-Birthing!!

Hey all...
its been some time since I posted on my blog and lots to share!! Ill just bullet the stuff then give details .. New Picture, New due date, New Hypnobirthing class, New Dr. and NEW BABY NAME!! SO MANY NEW THINGS this month!!

First Check the new picture ...:) I'm getting ENORMOUS!! heres me on the morning before what was 4 weeks after my other picture (what WAS to be 30 weeks) the reason I say it like that is because that day I got an ultrasound and the baby was growing so well that she was marking growth for 31.3 weeks :P so the Due date was pushed BACK to Dec 28th!!

I started my Hypno-birthing classes mid October and should end this week. They are so much fun, and it just makes SO MUCH SENSE!! I'm kinda frustrated with the way some things are turning out but I think I'm gonna do just fine in the long run! Its seriously like training for a MARATHON!! I just hope I can keep it up!! Actually I KNOW I can!! and I WILL!! I have to listen to my Birthing Affirmations for a half hour a day (I do it on my way to work, on those days I make it an extra full hour both back and fourth so I get quadrupole duty those days!!) then My Rainbow relaxation... which is a half hour.. every day... then 3-4 times a week I need to practice my "Deepening exercises." its alot of work but its SO WORTH it to me!!
The basic theory behind it is that all animals.. including humans have painless birth... its only when other humans, fear and medicine interfear that PAIN occurs... because people round the world have and still have painless births. It is only in the Western Society (mainly Europe and the US) that women FEAR birth, and they let Medical model birthing occur which creates fight or flight fear in the mother, thus draining the uterus of its blood, thus creating a cycle of confirming the pain, thus creating a deeper fear of pain, stalling the labor, introducing Pitocin which doesn't produce ANY Oxytocin but ONLY Produces pushing of the baby into the Cervix which is not ready which WILL cause pain thus confirming the thought that labor = pain... and the cycle continues!! Any way .. So in nature and the other countries their women have painless births because they put themselves in a kind of "hypnotic" glazed over state while they give birth.. and just let the Uterus do its job and birth's the baby... Thus a painless birth.. with alot of "pressure.." but not pain...
So yeah, I'm very excited about it!

I've also had some Dr drama!! I have been contemplating a switch for quite some time, but I had a "rude awakening" when my Dr got very ANGRY because I was asking about his C-Section rates.. have something to hide much ? hahah so I switched to a new OB this week. I was really wanting the Nurse Midwife but she SHATTERED her shoulder riding a motorcycle this month so she can do any deliveries till Jan.. so that puts me out of the running for her... but over all I think I'm gonna be fine! The Dr. I ended up going with, his wife had 4 Bradley Births (similar to Hypno birthing) so I KNOW he is DOWN with natural!!

My baby shower is next week! I'm so very excited about it! Ill be sure to not let a month go by before I post pictures of it!!

Baby name change might happen! I'm REALLY liking the new name!! It all started when the date changed recently, and when my friend recently had her baby.... on Halloween and they were gonna give their baby a Haloweeny middle name just for celebration of the holiday. She asked if i was gonna do that if Donna was born on Christmas.. I was thinking Jeeeez... the new due date IS only 3 days from Christmas... REALLY close to Christmas.. what if I have her on Christmas?? **panic ensued** I hadn't really thought about it I was so set on her being a New years baby that the christmas thing never even crossed my mind.. So I thought about it.. and people were tossing around all kinds of names like Christa, Joy, Star, Harmony, Bell, Bella, when when someone said Noel and I was like OHH YEAH I LOVE THAT!! and with Donna.. Donna Noel... its just sound so GOOD!! So I was thinking if she's born on Christmas or Christmas eve it would be Donna Noel.. and otherwise Donna Elizabeth... but now after 2 weeks of hearing it... I'm really LOVING the Donna Noel....
so I have decided that if she is born in December PERIOD its gonna be Donna Noel... and January Donna Elizabeth.....

28 weeks Oh my!

WOW it seems this pregnancy has just FLOWN BY!
I'm already in my 3rd trimester and only 11 short weeks till little Donna joins our family!

I still sit and feel the baby move and I am just AMAZED I'm having another baby!

Lots has happened the past few weeks, I got a new job in St. George. I'm very excited about getting back to working!! Its part time so I can spend lots of time with my baby at home when she comes! The best part is that I can just hire a nanny for the couple hours I'm at work and she can just hang out in the front office with the baby while I work, Cause I'm the only one there anyway :)
My first day back on the job (this past Monday) I had to go in to labor and delivery cause I hadn't felt her move for over 24 hours, so I went in, they checked her out and she was just fine.

My mom has started planning my baby shower its gonna be in November :) I'm kinda excited about it :) I moved my registry from wal-mart to Target cause i really like the stuff at target better ;)

I just bought an intercom system, which I think will work so much better than just having a baby monitor. This way I can set Kyra's room to one channel, the baby's room to another Chanel and have that room permanently on Hold, which will make it just like a baby monitor and with a receiver in every room it will work just great! :)
I have a video monitor for when Kyra was little that I'm gonna get hooked up to the front room TV. so I will be able to see the baby's room when she is in there sleeping so I don't have to bug her if I'm not sure she's awake or not. I remember doing that alot when Kyra was a baby.
