Baby shower gift pictures

I'm so thoroughly annoyed with blogger right now :( it posted all my pictures in opposite order and its not letting me edit them at all ..

Oh well heres the pictures from the shower :)

My big belly picture .. 34 weeks pregnant!

Kyra made me the cutest flowers out of the tissue paper from the gift bags :)

This was a Lusciously soft blanky that Christina (my friend) got me along with 2 fuzzy sleeper outfits (pictured below)

This outfit was from Chris, it was a whole Layette set with a matching onesie, night gown, top and bottom outfit (below) bib and hat

Opening the card from Chris's gift (above)
Look... I'm so happy to get a Bumbo chair.. they didnt have there when Kyra was a baby
I'm so confused as to why they got it in BLUE!!
Hmm what COULD THIS BE?? LOL its shaped like a BUMBO box LOL This was from Sharene and Tanya
This was a whole bunch of matching clothes from Melonie. It ended up being 3 full outfit sets that were inter changable 3 pairs of socks and some shoes.
I was like YEAH!!! someone listened to my invitation and got me something from the registry! This cute little car seat toy was from my visiting teacher Emily.
Opening the first gift of the day
Amy got me a way cute onesie head band and head bow
Reading what the onesie says.
Eating snacks before the presents were opened... it was REALLY RAINY that day we thought it was gonna snow!

BABY SHOWER

The early birds getting some food :) (as a side note, Look how Kyra is as tall as Christina.. thats FUNNY! She's only 10 LOL )
The Game winner presents

The first few presents that arrived (and the travel system)
Kyra preparing the tray with the butterflies
Kyra bored waiting for the party to start already

So I just had my baby shower :) Loved it :) it was really fun, not too long, lots of people came (I was worried about that) :) So over all I was happy about it :) On a side note I have reaffirmed why I am having a birthing photographer LOL there were almost NO pictures of my guests :( which makes me sad :( and there were no pictures of the WONDERFUL FOOD that my mom and I spent DAYS MAKING!
I'm gonna try to describe everything so that you know all that we made for the party :)
First off Kyra has Celliac Disease so I made it very clear to my mom that I wanted as much Gluten free food as possible and for the most part she conformed. We even made the little cupcakes out of a gluten free cake mix :)
OK so on the "snacky table" we had made:
  • pink and purple chocolates that were butterflies and flowers
  • the cupcake tower with mini cupcakes decorated with pink and purple frosting and little white flowers on top and some of the butterfly chocolates on top (kinda like they were going from flower to flower.. it was really cute.
  • chips and dips
On the counter where the "meal food" was we made:
  • My oh so famous Grilled chicken, Spinach and cheese- bow tie pasta (I looked really hard to find the pasta gluten free with no success :( )
  • A really stinking yummy Waldorf salad (normally I hate Waldorf salad but this was way good, along with the regular junk in the Waldorf salad we also put pineapple, dried cranberries, yogurt and some other stuff which dressed it up all good :)
  • I don't know what to call this next thing but we made shaped bread in flowers and hearts and toasted them with a spinach dip, ham and cheese they were really good too :)
And to drink we did the typical sprite and raspberry sherbet, but then we also added frozen berries which made it different and dressed it up REALLY NICE!

The games we played were some fun ones :) we had a trivia game that had like 12 questions on it about having a baby.. some were kinda hard. I cant remember who won that game.
Then we played baby bingo (just like at Kyra's baby shower) where they had a blank bingo card and a bunch of names to choose from putting all over the board. it made it nice in the beginning because people were able to fill those out while waiting for other people to show-up :)
The final game was the baby changing game. There were groups of 4 people and they raced to: unwrap their baby from its blanket, take off its clothes change its diaper, put on a new outfit, and re-swaddle then pass it to the next team member.. then time stopped when everyone was finished. There ended up being 3 teams, with times of 10:00 5:56 and 6:10those 2 teams were CLOSE...

After the food and the games.. we then opened presents .. the funnest part for the mommy hahaha getting STUFF is always fun!

I'm gonna post all the pictures from the party and I'll just title all the pictures presents. the few presents that didn't get a picture however was Diapers, wipes, and travel bath stuff from Diane, and the travel system from my mother (but you can see the travel system in alot of the other pictures too)

(I had to post another blog to put the pictures because Blogger is acting wird about me adding too many pictures :P )

Hypno-Birthing!!

Hey all...
its been some time since I posted on my blog and lots to share!! Ill just bullet the stuff then give details .. New Picture, New due date, New Hypnobirthing class, New Dr. and NEW BABY NAME!! SO MANY NEW THINGS this month!!

First Check the new picture ...:) I'm getting ENORMOUS!! heres me on the morning before what was 4 weeks after my other picture (what WAS to be 30 weeks) the reason I say it like that is because that day I got an ultrasound and the baby was growing so well that she was marking growth for 31.3 weeks :P so the Due date was pushed BACK to Dec 28th!!

I started my Hypno-birthing classes mid October and should end this week. They are so much fun, and it just makes SO MUCH SENSE!! I'm kinda frustrated with the way some things are turning out but I think I'm gonna do just fine in the long run! Its seriously like training for a MARATHON!! I just hope I can keep it up!! Actually I KNOW I can!! and I WILL!! I have to listen to my Birthing Affirmations for a half hour a day (I do it on my way to work, on those days I make it an extra full hour both back and fourth so I get quadrupole duty those days!!) then My Rainbow relaxation... which is a half hour.. every day... then 3-4 times a week I need to practice my "Deepening exercises." its alot of work but its SO WORTH it to me!!
The basic theory behind it is that all animals.. including humans have painless birth... its only when other humans, fear and medicine interfear that PAIN occurs... because people round the world have and still have painless births. It is only in the Western Society (mainly Europe and the US) that women FEAR birth, and they let Medical model birthing occur which creates fight or flight fear in the mother, thus draining the uterus of its blood, thus creating a cycle of confirming the pain, thus creating a deeper fear of pain, stalling the labor, introducing Pitocin which doesn't produce ANY Oxytocin but ONLY Produces pushing of the baby into the Cervix which is not ready which WILL cause pain thus confirming the thought that labor = pain... and the cycle continues!! Any way .. So in nature and the other countries their women have painless births because they put themselves in a kind of "hypnotic" glazed over state while they give birth.. and just let the Uterus do its job and birth's the baby... Thus a painless birth.. with alot of "pressure.." but not pain...
So yeah, I'm very excited about it!

I've also had some Dr drama!! I have been contemplating a switch for quite some time, but I had a "rude awakening" when my Dr got very ANGRY because I was asking about his C-Section rates.. have something to hide much ? hahah so I switched to a new OB this week. I was really wanting the Nurse Midwife but she SHATTERED her shoulder riding a motorcycle this month so she can do any deliveries till Jan.. so that puts me out of the running for her... but over all I think I'm gonna be fine! The Dr. I ended up going with, his wife had 4 Bradley Births (similar to Hypno birthing) so I KNOW he is DOWN with natural!!

My baby shower is next week! I'm so very excited about it! Ill be sure to not let a month go by before I post pictures of it!!

Baby name change might happen! I'm REALLY liking the new name!! It all started when the date changed recently, and when my friend recently had her baby.... on Halloween and they were gonna give their baby a Haloweeny middle name just for celebration of the holiday. She asked if i was gonna do that if Donna was born on Christmas.. I was thinking Jeeeez... the new due date IS only 3 days from Christmas... REALLY close to Christmas.. what if I have her on Christmas?? **panic ensued** I hadn't really thought about it I was so set on her being a New years baby that the christmas thing never even crossed my mind.. So I thought about it.. and people were tossing around all kinds of names like Christa, Joy, Star, Harmony, Bell, Bella, when when someone said Noel and I was like OHH YEAH I LOVE THAT!! and with Donna.. Donna Noel... its just sound so GOOD!! So I was thinking if she's born on Christmas or Christmas eve it would be Donna Noel.. and otherwise Donna Elizabeth... but now after 2 weeks of hearing it... I'm really LOVING the Donna Noel....
so I have decided that if she is born in December PERIOD its gonna be Donna Noel... and January Donna Elizabeth.....

28 weeks Oh my!

WOW it seems this pregnancy has just FLOWN BY!
I'm already in my 3rd trimester and only 11 short weeks till little Donna joins our family!

I still sit and feel the baby move and I am just AMAZED I'm having another baby!

Lots has happened the past few weeks, I got a new job in St. George. I'm very excited about getting back to working!! Its part time so I can spend lots of time with my baby at home when she comes! The best part is that I can just hire a nanny for the couple hours I'm at work and she can just hang out in the front office with the baby while I work, Cause I'm the only one there anyway :)
My first day back on the job (this past Monday) I had to go in to labor and delivery cause I hadn't felt her move for over 24 hours, so I went in, they checked her out and she was just fine.

My mom has started planning my baby shower its gonna be in November :) I'm kinda excited about it :) I moved my registry from wal-mart to Target cause i really like the stuff at target better ;)

I just bought an intercom system, which I think will work so much better than just having a baby monitor. This way I can set Kyra's room to one channel, the baby's room to another Chanel and have that room permanently on Hold, which will make it just like a baby monitor and with a receiver in every room it will work just great! :)
I have a video monitor for when Kyra was little that I'm gonna get hooked up to the front room TV. so I will be able to see the baby's room when she is in there sleeping so I don't have to bug her if I'm not sure she's awake or not. I remember doing that alot when Kyra was a baby.

Were coming up the pass!! FINAL TRIMESTER!

Well first things first YEAh :) we made it past the countdown and were under 100 days!! I have a ticker on my phone and I thought it would never get under 100 and it is!
Little Donna is regularly kicking my butt.. **cough** ahem** RIBS... on a regular basis! I love this part! The heartburn unfortunately is a haunting that has still not gone away :(
Her bulletin board and her Hospital bag/ diaper bag

Here is my picture of my big tummy at 24 weeks.. it has SIGNIFICANTLY grow in this past 4 weeks, and I assume it will continue on that trend! Today she is just over 2 pounds! I cant believe it!

Her coat rack
I definitely feel the "nesting" bug" I keep going in the baby's room wondering what I can work on to get it even more ready!
I have rearranged the babys clothes about 10 times! I think I finally have it how its gonna be..
Her bed all ready for the baby.. I still need to hang
that self and the Monitor camera though
I sorted the newborn clothes from the 0-3 month clothes. and its in a basket with all the plain white onesies. Then I have a basket that has all of her hats, and a basket with all of her night clothes that have footsies in one pile, and then the full outfits that don't have footsies in another pile. Then another basket with Cute onesies, plain shirts (no snap)  and pants/bottoms.  I hung up her really matchy matchy outfits too.
The diaper hanger.. A very smart idea if I do say so myself
I was very proud of thinking of it! its just a shoe rack
for the closet attached to the ceiling!
I moved all of the toys to a new piece of furniture I just got this past weekend that has cubby baskets, and I sorted the toys into soft rattles, sensory toys, and hard toys. (there is a picture of it here somewhere!)

I took the baby swing I had been intending to take to my mom's for like MONTHS NOW. Like literally TODAY took it over, so I got that out.
The baby's room from the doorway,
Her new cubby toy shelf, her diaper bag,
and the crib in the background,
Again the shelf I need to hang with the camera

I packed the hospital bag a few days ago I put in: the blanket I crocheted and the hat Kyra made (that match each other) and her take home outfit, (all for her to go home in) 5 other outfits, 6 onesies, 3 pairs of mittens, headbands for her hair, 6 pairs of socks, 6 burp rags and 4 receiving blankets.  I had diapers and wipes and that kid of stuff but my friend told me the hospital gives me all that so I took them out haha.. I didn't remember! I haven't had a child in 10 years remember!!
Here is the compartment thingy that I have all
the shampoo's powders creams etc in
I know its a little neurotic to bring my own receiving blankets and onesies but I just feel better knowing I washed them and that they are hers :)

I still cant believe what I still need for her though! I thought I had nearly everything then i look at my registry and go.. oooops I guess were missing things!
My mom started planning my baby shower already,  we went to one a week ago so I guess it got it in her head she needs to get moving on mine!
Its gonna be the weekend before Thanksgiving hopefully not too many people will be out of town!

All the sorted Clothes
and the pretty new fairy I just added
The newly sorted toys, and diaper bag/ hospital bag
Even though its the fall I'm still BURNING UP! I guess thats what I get for being a human incubator! I have the fan on me constantly!
Medically I have been ok the past few weeks. No more big scares.. for now.. I have a little sore throat but I thinks its because of all the fire smoke in the air. there is a big fire in the area and its making the air really hard to breathe :( Like it isn't already hard for me to breathe these days??

I guess thats all for right now...
See ya next time!!!

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse...

OK so after recovering from the whole bed rest debockle, on labor day (monday) I had another fun adventure!
I was blanching peeling and cutting up peaches to freeze when all of a sudden I got really dizzy and my head hurt. Usually that just means I'm dehydrated and need to lay down and drink some fluids.. SO I did...
About 3 minutes of laying down My fingers started feeling numb.. I thought  .. MEhhh.. I was laying weird and pinched a nerve, so I sat up a little making sure I wasn't pinching anything.. it didn't stop, as a matter of fact, it got worse.. withing a few minutes my whole hand down to my wrist was feeling numb. At this point I KNEW it wasn't a pinched wrist, and that something was WRONG. I calmly told Kyra to get my phone... Quickly. I didn't want to get up in case it happened to the rest of my body or something.  But I knew I needed to have my phone nearby. As quick as she got  my phone, in that time, the numbness had climbed to just above my elbow and I was starting to loose feeling in the right side of my face. I called my mom knowing that this couldn't get any better on its own because of the progression. She was in town so she rushed over. She got to my house and i came out to get in the car and head to the ER. I hit my stairs and HAD to sit cause I would have collapsed otherwise! All of a sudden I was throwing up everywhere... THANK GOODNESS the trash is right there! My mom called  9-1-1 knowing I shouldn't and couldn't move! At this time I knew I was starting to get disoriented, I could feel myself loosing awareness of myself. It was very scary! trying to keep calm and not to over-traumatize myself I told her with a I needed help and that I was not OK. I think she checked my vitals at this time I cant fully remember this part, because I was so out of it! I do remember she looked VERY worried and that Kyra was rubbing my back, and got me another puke bag (cause I filled another one up already).
The ambulance arrived and they put me on the gurney I think I started throwing up again. They drew blood and got an IV started, I'm sorry but i cant remember alot about this part. I do remember my heart rate was 80/43... SO LOW! I naturally have a really low blood pressure its usually 100/60 basically EVERY TIME.. its pretty exact, so any time its different it scares me and I KNOW something is wrong. My O2 must have been low too cause they put oxygen on me as well, and I felt like I couldn't breathe.
Once at the hospital they first wheeled me into the ER, ER told the ambulance guys they needed to take me to OB, so we ventured across the hospital to OB, they said "she's not here for labor " so they sent me BACK to the ER. **sigh** I was exhausted and confused at this point.
They hooked me up  to the monitors, they gave me med's for the nausea, then I was pretty much out for the rest of the time there. I vaguely remember my sister there when she traded places with my mom. I remember at some point the Dr woke me up to do an Ultrasound. I remember seeing the ultrasound for a second or 2 but I think I fell asleep. I remember hearing them say, "she's asleep."  thats about my total memory of the hospital.
The next day I went for the MRI. WOW that really is a freaky experience. Im generally pretty claustrophobic, and it sure tested my nerves. I tried to do breathing exercises and calming techniques to try to keep me calm so I didn't upset little Dee... She got upset anyway, when the machine started it woke her up so I was trying to sooth her by rubbing my tummy a little... While keeping my head and shoulders still.

The next day I had my regular Dr. Appt. She was fine an I was fine. Her heart rate was 146, not the exact 150 that she usually gets but hey its still healthy! She was kicking and having fun at the appointment! It was hard for him to get a heart beat on her she was kicking the doppler so much haha.
He hadn't gotten my results back from the MRI yet and said he would let me know how it went. He said that if the MRI  comes back clear that the incident was a SEVERE migraine, and that it is somewhat common to develop these headaches/ numbness in pregnancy. That is in fact what ended up being the diagnosis since later that afternoon the MRI came back  clear. He told me to drink at least 1 soda a day to try to keep the headaches away. He told me it was better than acetaminophen! **who knew**... So one good thing I get out of it.. I got permission to drink 1 soda a day HA HA HA
The headache or rather "migraine" didn't even OCCUR to me  the entire time because I have had an underlying headache for WEEKS. Not to mention I've never HAD a Migraine before, so I didnt know how it felt!?!?!.
Its now been 4 days and when i feel the slightest head pain, I get my Dr.Pepper and it goes away.
this is now the SECOND new kind of headache I have developed in this pregnancy. **sigh**
...

On the cool side.. little Donna is almost a full foot long :) and well over a pound now! How amazing is that! I am just so happy to have her AND Kyra in my life! SO blessed!

She is just SO ACTIVE this week.. she keeps kicking me like crazy .. I love feeling her move, its like whatever I was ding or talking about or saying  I stop just to feel her, and take in every bit of it ! Its the part of pregnancy that I  LIVE FOR!

**subject change**

We went to my moms house today, she was cleaning out her garage. I figured I'd help her cause i had nothing better to do. I was sitting on a chair as Kyra brought me boxes to go through it was quite fun actually. I still don't feel 100% since this last little incident so I'm trying to take things slowly. Any hoo, Kyra was complaining about something and my mom said .. "well your mom's pregnant and I'm a 64 year old Old lady and your a nice young child" I didn't really listen to the rest of what she said cause I was still processing the "your moms pregnant" statement.. like ??this was news?? or something?? It just catches me off guard sometimes.
The past few weeks I have felt Donna move more and more, and the pregnancy is becoming more and more real, however, I keep getting the "holey crap I'm PREGNANT!?!?!!!!"  moments! HAHAH
After they pass they really make me laugh!

Tomorrow Is probably one of the last garage sale days of the year. its starting to get quite nippy in the mornings so I'm hoping tomorrow I get good booty with my searches! Kyra also has her Vegi stand at the farmers market so We'll have a busy day tomorrow!
I have the worst heartburn right now so I'm gonna go take a Tumms and hit the hay!

Scary week last week

Woah... now last week would have to be the most dramatic week of the pregnancy so far.
To start off with on Monday I got food poisoning causing me to projectile vomit across the room.. continued barfing for 3 days then on Thurday I was so dehydrated I started feeling contractions. So I tried to relax, take it easy.. around 11:30 PM I called labor and delivery and asked what they thought I should do.. she had me drink some water, and take a bath, so it did.. it didn't help... I was still contracting in the morning. So I called my Dr. his nurse told me to get off my feat drink lots of fluids and go on moderate bed-rest till Monday, or until I have 24 hours without contractions.. so I did... on Friday night I was puking SO MUCH that my throat was BURNING . my sister was on the phone with me in a mid puke session. She insisted that I go to the hospital. So I agree'd to go cause i really felt like crap, I was shaky and achy and the contractions were about every 10-15 mins... so I figured for the safety of little Dee to go, if for nothing else but to check on her. We went in to the hospital, puking every step of the way to the ER, got into the bed, after about an hour they transfered me to labor and delivery, where the nurse was really quite rude actually, they monitored the baby and the contractions, then said that she'd give me a shot of phenta-something for the nausea, gave me pills to take home if i continued throwing up and put me on even stricter actual full on bed-rest till Monday when I was instructed to talk to my Dr.
So here it is Tuesday, I feel like crap, but Kyra had to go to  the dentist this morning so were both recovering from a terrible week.... **sigh**
Give me strength that this week will be SIZABLEY better!!
