Were coming up the pass!! FINAL TRIMESTER!

Well first things first YEAh :) we made it past the countdown and were under 100 days!! I have a ticker on my phone and I thought it would never get under 100 and it is!
Little Donna is regularly kicking my butt.. **cough** ahem** RIBS... on a regular basis! I love this part! The heartburn unfortunately is a haunting that has still not gone away :(
Her bulletin board and her Hospital bag/ diaper bag

Here is my picture of my big tummy at 24 weeks.. it has SIGNIFICANTLY grow in this past 4 weeks, and I assume it will continue on that trend! Today she is just over 2 pounds! I cant believe it!

Her coat rack
I definitely feel the "nesting" bug" I keep going in the baby's room wondering what I can work on to get it even more ready!
I have rearranged the babys clothes about 10 times! I think I finally have it how its gonna be..
Her bed all ready for the baby.. I still need to hang
that self and the Monitor camera though
I sorted the newborn clothes from the 0-3 month clothes. and its in a basket with all the plain white onesies. Then I have a basket that has all of her hats, and a basket with all of her night clothes that have footsies in one pile, and then the full outfits that don't have footsies in another pile. Then another basket with Cute onesies, plain shirts (no snap)  and pants/bottoms.  I hung up her really matchy matchy outfits too.
The diaper hanger.. A very smart idea if I do say so myself
I was very proud of thinking of it! its just a shoe rack
for the closet attached to the ceiling!
I moved all of the toys to a new piece of furniture I just got this past weekend that has cubby baskets, and I sorted the toys into soft rattles, sensory toys, and hard toys. (there is a picture of it here somewhere!)

I took the baby swing I had been intending to take to my mom's for like MONTHS NOW. Like literally TODAY took it over, so I got that out.
The baby's room from the doorway,
Her new cubby toy shelf, her diaper bag,
and the crib in the background,
Again the shelf I need to hang with the camera

I packed the hospital bag a few days ago I put in: the blanket I crocheted and the hat Kyra made (that match each other) and her take home outfit, (all for her to go home in) 5 other outfits, 6 onesies, 3 pairs of mittens, headbands for her hair, 6 pairs of socks, 6 burp rags and 4 receiving blankets.  I had diapers and wipes and that kid of stuff but my friend told me the hospital gives me all that so I took them out haha.. I didn't remember! I haven't had a child in 10 years remember!!
Here is the compartment thingy that I have all
the shampoo's powders creams etc in
I know its a little neurotic to bring my own receiving blankets and onesies but I just feel better knowing I washed them and that they are hers :)

I still cant believe what I still need for her though! I thought I had nearly everything then i look at my registry and go.. oooops I guess were missing things!
My mom started planning my baby shower already,  we went to one a week ago so I guess it got it in her head she needs to get moving on mine!
Its gonna be the weekend before Thanksgiving hopefully not too many people will be out of town!

All the sorted Clothes
and the pretty new fairy I just added
The newly sorted toys, and diaper bag/ hospital bag
Even though its the fall I'm still BURNING UP! I guess thats what I get for being a human incubator! I have the fan on me constantly!
Medically I have been ok the past few weeks. No more big scares.. for now.. I have a little sore throat but I thinks its because of all the fire smoke in the air. there is a big fire in the area and its making the air really hard to breathe :( Like it isn't already hard for me to breathe these days??

I guess thats all for right now...
See ya next time!!!

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse...

OK so after recovering from the whole bed rest debockle, on labor day (monday) I had another fun adventure!
I was blanching peeling and cutting up peaches to freeze when all of a sudden I got really dizzy and my head hurt. Usually that just means I'm dehydrated and need to lay down and drink some fluids.. SO I did...
About 3 minutes of laying down My fingers started feeling numb.. I thought  .. MEhhh.. I was laying weird and pinched a nerve, so I sat up a little making sure I wasn't pinching anything.. it didn't stop, as a matter of fact, it got worse.. withing a few minutes my whole hand down to my wrist was feeling numb. At this point I KNEW it wasn't a pinched wrist, and that something was WRONG. I calmly told Kyra to get my phone... Quickly. I didn't want to get up in case it happened to the rest of my body or something.  But I knew I needed to have my phone nearby. As quick as she got  my phone, in that time, the numbness had climbed to just above my elbow and I was starting to loose feeling in the right side of my face. I called my mom knowing that this couldn't get any better on its own because of the progression. She was in town so she rushed over. She got to my house and i came out to get in the car and head to the ER. I hit my stairs and HAD to sit cause I would have collapsed otherwise! All of a sudden I was throwing up everywhere... THANK GOODNESS the trash is right there! My mom called  9-1-1 knowing I shouldn't and couldn't move! At this time I knew I was starting to get disoriented, I could feel myself loosing awareness of myself. It was very scary! trying to keep calm and not to over-traumatize myself I told her with a I needed help and that I was not OK. I think she checked my vitals at this time I cant fully remember this part, because I was so out of it! I do remember she looked VERY worried and that Kyra was rubbing my back, and got me another puke bag (cause I filled another one up already).
The ambulance arrived and they put me on the gurney I think I started throwing up again. They drew blood and got an IV started, I'm sorry but i cant remember alot about this part. I do remember my heart rate was 80/43... SO LOW! I naturally have a really low blood pressure its usually 100/60 basically EVERY TIME.. its pretty exact, so any time its different it scares me and I KNOW something is wrong. My O2 must have been low too cause they put oxygen on me as well, and I felt like I couldn't breathe.
Once at the hospital they first wheeled me into the ER, ER told the ambulance guys they needed to take me to OB, so we ventured across the hospital to OB, they said "she's not here for labor " so they sent me BACK to the ER. **sigh** I was exhausted and confused at this point.
They hooked me up  to the monitors, they gave me med's for the nausea, then I was pretty much out for the rest of the time there. I vaguely remember my sister there when she traded places with my mom. I remember at some point the Dr woke me up to do an Ultrasound. I remember seeing the ultrasound for a second or 2 but I think I fell asleep. I remember hearing them say, "she's asleep."  thats about my total memory of the hospital.
The next day I went for the MRI. WOW that really is a freaky experience. Im generally pretty claustrophobic, and it sure tested my nerves. I tried to do breathing exercises and calming techniques to try to keep me calm so I didn't upset little Dee... She got upset anyway, when the machine started it woke her up so I was trying to sooth her by rubbing my tummy a little... While keeping my head and shoulders still.

The next day I had my regular Dr. Appt. She was fine an I was fine. Her heart rate was 146, not the exact 150 that she usually gets but hey its still healthy! She was kicking and having fun at the appointment! It was hard for him to get a heart beat on her she was kicking the doppler so much haha.
He hadn't gotten my results back from the MRI yet and said he would let me know how it went. He said that if the MRI  comes back clear that the incident was a SEVERE migraine, and that it is somewhat common to develop these headaches/ numbness in pregnancy. That is in fact what ended up being the diagnosis since later that afternoon the MRI came back  clear. He told me to drink at least 1 soda a day to try to keep the headaches away. He told me it was better than acetaminophen! **who knew**... So one good thing I get out of it.. I got permission to drink 1 soda a day HA HA HA
The headache or rather "migraine" didn't even OCCUR to me  the entire time because I have had an underlying headache for WEEKS. Not to mention I've never HAD a Migraine before, so I didnt know how it felt!?!?!.
Its now been 4 days and when i feel the slightest head pain, I get my Dr.Pepper and it goes away.
this is now the SECOND new kind of headache I have developed in this pregnancy. **sigh**
...

On the cool side.. little Donna is almost a full foot long :) and well over a pound now! How amazing is that! I am just so happy to have her AND Kyra in my life! SO blessed!

She is just SO ACTIVE this week.. she keeps kicking me like crazy .. I love feeling her move, its like whatever I was ding or talking about or saying  I stop just to feel her, and take in every bit of it ! Its the part of pregnancy that I  LIVE FOR!

**subject change**

We went to my moms house today, she was cleaning out her garage. I figured I'd help her cause i had nothing better to do. I was sitting on a chair as Kyra brought me boxes to go through it was quite fun actually. I still don't feel 100% since this last little incident so I'm trying to take things slowly. Any hoo, Kyra was complaining about something and my mom said .. "well your mom's pregnant and I'm a 64 year old Old lady and your a nice young child" I didn't really listen to the rest of what she said cause I was still processing the "your moms pregnant" statement.. like ??this was news?? or something?? It just catches me off guard sometimes.
The past few weeks I have felt Donna move more and more, and the pregnancy is becoming more and more real, however, I keep getting the "holey crap I'm PREGNANT!?!?!!!!"  moments! HAHAH
After they pass they really make me laugh!

Tomorrow Is probably one of the last garage sale days of the year. its starting to get quite nippy in the mornings so I'm hoping tomorrow I get good booty with my searches! Kyra also has her Vegi stand at the farmers market so We'll have a busy day tomorrow!
I have the worst heartburn right now so I'm gonna go take a Tumms and hit the hay!

Scary week last week

Woah... now last week would have to be the most dramatic week of the pregnancy so far.
To start off with on Monday I got food poisoning causing me to projectile vomit across the room.. continued barfing for 3 days then on Thurday I was so dehydrated I started feeling contractions. So I tried to relax, take it easy.. around 11:30 PM I called labor and delivery and asked what they thought I should do.. she had me drink some water, and take a bath, so it did.. it didn't help... I was still contracting in the morning. So I called my Dr. his nurse told me to get off my feat drink lots of fluids and go on moderate bed-rest till Monday, or until I have 24 hours without contractions.. so I did... on Friday night I was puking SO MUCH that my throat was BURNING . my sister was on the phone with me in a mid puke session. She insisted that I go to the hospital. So I agree'd to go cause i really felt like crap, I was shaky and achy and the contractions were about every 10-15 mins... so I figured for the safety of little Dee to go, if for nothing else but to check on her. We went in to the hospital, puking every step of the way to the ER, got into the bed, after about an hour they transfered me to labor and delivery, where the nurse was really quite rude actually, they monitored the baby and the contractions, then said that she'd give me a shot of phenta-something for the nausea, gave me pills to take home if i continued throwing up and put me on even stricter actual full on bed-rest till Monday when I was instructed to talk to my Dr.
So here it is Tuesday, I feel like crap, but Kyra had to go to  the dentist this morning so were both recovering from a terrible week.... **sigh**
Give me strength that this week will be SIZABLEY better!!

Hump week!!!

Yeahhh!! today marks half way through the pregnancy !! 20 weeks!

One one hand I cant wait for this baby to get here... on another hand I LOVE being pregnant... Feeling her move.. on another hand I just want to have the little princess here all ready... on another hand I DON'T REMEMBER how to be a mom .. LOL rather a "newborn's mom"

On that last topic..
I haven't changed a diaper since Kyra was a toddler. Seriously I need to borrow someones child and change a few diapers LOL.. teach Kyra how to do it too :) We really need a new siblings class at our hospital here :) that would be fun I know Dixie regional has one mabee Ill make the drive to St. George and take her to that class it would be fun for her.

I forgot to write a few days ago, I kept having these HORRIBLE HORRIBLE dreams I thought I might have been going crazy so I looked it up apparently its common.. due to hormones!! **phewwww** thank goodness cause I did NOT like those dreams at all they were just  very scary dreams about murder :(

I think thats all for this week :)

19 week OB appointment and birthing plan

Yesterday I had my monthly OB appointment. Everything happened as expected.  I have only gained 2 pounds since last month, little Donna's heart beat was 150 .. PERFECT heartbeat for a baby :)
I talked to my Dr about my birthing experience with Kyra because I was concerned about a few things. When  I had Kyra I was induced at around 4 in the afternoon, with a little pill they put on my cervix, I didn't feel anything till around 2 AM (about 10 hours later) when I was feeling "some pain" so they gave me something in my IV drip then I went back to sleep till about 5 AM when they woke me up to break my water and all hell broke loose then, I was feeling the pain then, I went from 3-10 in under 2 hours and was given my epidural at around 6 am and had Kyra at 7:10AM...
The things I was concerned about were a few things:
1: How fast my labor progressed, with this birth 2 people in my birthing team live hours away
2: my body went into shock because of the epidural, and I was shaking the whole time, I dont want that to happen again so we talked about it and we will try to go natural.

So I made a birthing plan:

1: Unless she comes by December 31st I will be induced that evening so that I can have the baby on new years day. This is not just cause it would be cool to have my baby's birthday be 1-1-11 but Because Charlie lives 6 hours away and Christie lives 3 1/2 hours away and that is about the earliest I can be induced because I want to ensure they can both be there!! and if we wait until I do it naturally they may not make it in time because I give birth quickly!
2: Kyra (will cut the umbilical cord) , my mommy (well cause she's my mama), Christie (she did doula training a few years ago so she's gonna do great as my birthing coach!) and Charlie (the father of miss Donna) will be in the birthing room.
3: Ways to keep my pain under control in labor will be: Meditation and massage, Birthing ball bouncing (I've been seeing that alot on baby story and the mothers in labor all say that it takes alot of the pain away) the labor rooms also have jetted tubs, so I will go in the bath to relax my body as well. other than these just the typical Lamaze techniques.
4: I want to see the baby, so I want a Birthing mirror
5: I want to nurse her as soon as she is born.
6: I want to video tape the birth
7: she is NOT to have a bottle or binkie

Thats my birthing plan so far. I'm sure Ill change and adjust it the closer I get to her birth :)

SHE IS DEFIANTLY A GIRL!!!

HELLO MISS DONNA!!!
We had the ultrasound today and YEP I was right!! She is surely a girl!!
At the Ultrasound we had Kyra and my mom and Charlie and his mom.

We got there at 12:30 the appointment was for 1:00 but they told us to be there a half hour early.
So we sat there and waited and waited for them to take us back. they finally did.
She took a bunch of pictures and I was dying with anticipation. Kyra was so cute she remembered when we went to Mississippi my friend Stacey told her if you see 3 lines its a girl, so Kyra recounted this story and told the Ultrasound lady to look for 3 lines because she thinks its a girl. A few minutes later the Ultrasound tech told Kyra to look a the screen and told her to say it again, as she pointed at the 3 lines on Donna, so Kyra exclaimed its a GIRL!! it was very cute :)

So finally after waiting and waiting and waiting to confirm what I knew to be true!! She is a girl!! Donna is a girl!!
YEAHHhhhhhh
