long break UPDATE

Sorry for the long break I have been lazy and forgot that i had this blog.. (Im honest)

So to catch you up...
Charlie (the baby's father) broke up with me... but for now we are trying to be civil, even though right now I am not to sure about how much he desires to be in the baby's life. He has said some very hurtful things about me and the baby recently and I honestly don't know how much I cant trust him right now, but I am trying to have compassion and be more understanding but its difficult with certain circumstances.  I am leaving it at that.

On a more positive note...

Kyra and I went to Mississippi to visit my friend for a week this month it was very fun :) Kyra even got to pet a live wild alligator!! it was totally fun!

Our garden is doing very well in the yard.. exploding everywhere :) I'm even pulling weeds and pretending as though I'm not even pregnant. HA HA

The baby's room is nearly put together. I finally have all of my work stuff out of the office (well other than the closet, which I will tackle next week) The crib is up the changing table is set her dresser area is all set up all ready to go :) with clothes sorted washed folded and put away I've even started buying diapers and wipes... never can be TOO prepared!

When we went to the Dr's office 2 weeks ago we tried to have a peeksy at if the baby was a girl or boy.. and luck would have it the umbilical cord was dead between the legs DANG.. so there was NO way to tell what the baby was :(

Today the baby is 17 weeks, the pregnancy is just flying by!! I started feeling the baby move about a week and a half ago... Its amazing I love feeling it :)

I have 2 different ultrasounds I'm posting here
first one (well 2)  is at 12 weeks :) baby looks like she's on her head LOL I like the second one.. you can see her features so well... Head face nose mouth legs... the one on the top though you can see the hand.. she kept waving at us LOL it was cute :)

then the next on on the right is at 16 weeks when we went to look at the sex.. couldn't see it.. obviously the baby's been moving cause she's facing the total opposite way that time. if you look you can see the face, eyes mouth hands stomach and 1 leg :)


One thing thats been interesting is finding maternity clothes for fat people very difficult and really? I have tried the old navy clothes and they dont even come up to the belly.. its like a pair of jeans with a piece of fabric around it.. which is dumb.. not supportive in the least...
SO I have researched and figured out a way to make my OWN maternity clothes. I Used my new surger and did a test run.. and I LOVE THEM!!

I am gonna convert about 5 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of slacks into maternity pants :)
Im so impressed with myself for doing such a good job!! it looks very professional :)

So Ive been kinda obsessed with watching baby story, and bringing home baby and all those sappy shows about child birth I saw quite a few really good ones about people using a doula. My friend Christi was going for her doula certification a few years ago and asked her if she would like to be my birthing coach she is excited about that :) and frankly so am I!! I know she'll make sure what I want is carried  out I know it!! 

and i loves her lots so I know Ill be surrounded by love when I give birth.. Kyra, My mom, Kristy :) feeling the love ? I am :) and I'm not even in labor yet :)  

Ok so thers the update..
the ultrasound dot find out the gender is in 1 week 2 days :) I CANT WAIT!! Charlie said he's gonna be there so yeaaaaaaahhh....

Mobi Wraps Updated...

So since becoming OBSESSED with these Mobi Wraps I have been to Walmart and proceeded to BUY over 8 different fabrics to make them out of! (and EACH ONE makes 2!!)  HE HE.. I am going to be keeping 2, making 2 for my daughter to carry the baby with and also giving some to my friends for their baby's (it seems like ALL my friends are preggers these days). It makes a nice INEXPENSIVE, but SO USEFUL gift for any new mommy!!
One of my friends asked how the use the 6 Yards of fabric! SO I will post a bunch of videos to show you HOW to use this new found adored Way to snuggle with the baby!!
First buy your length of fabric The traditional Mobi's are 6 Feet so I bought that size. some instructions online give different sizes for each of the different kinds but its no big deal for me. I got some 6 1/2 and some 5 1/4 so I varied my sizes for use for different kinds Wraps

Basically its all the same amount of material just a different way of WRAPPING it up on the body!

I don't like some of the things this lady says they're a little WEIRD... and her Baby looks so uncomfortable.. but I have done it with friends baby and its much more secure than this lady makes it look.. and the baby's usually love it!  But I like that she shows 3 different holds

Widgets and Apps and things OH MY!

So this weekend was long.
We went to California for a family reunion.That was fun, however tiring... Ever get the feeling you need a vacation FROM the vacation!! I sure do!

On the baby news side of things  She's just-a-Growing! She hit the milestone of being over 1 inch long a couple days ago. (as of today at 9 weeks 6 days she's 1.17 inches and .13 oz)
I have some pretty cool apps on my phone for the pregnancy I thought I'd tell you about them just in case you were interested.
 I have an HTC Hero and one cool thing about having an Android phone is that you get all the free apps you want  and they have them for EVERYTHING!
I have 2 widgets I REALLY super like... One widget called Mom-2-Be tells me the exact size every day that she should be growing including Weight Length and How many weeks and days are left And when you click on the widget it gives you weekly tips and more info about your pregnancy which is SO USEFUL!! Me LIKEY!!  Then next to that App/widget I have/love is called "Pregnancy Assistant" (see to the right) Which gives me a PICTURE every week right on my wall of my phone as well as a weekly weight and size range (it doesn't change every day like the the mom-2-B)  and it gives me how many days till I give birth, which is kinda cool to know :) when you click on that app it too gives me tips and info about the baby. Not as much as the other one but its not repetitive either so thats good (redundancy always sucks), Oh and sometimes it has 2 or more live pictures of what the baby looks like when you look at the actual app (instead of just the widget). The main reason I love this one is the pictures!
 So between those 2 app's I get to know alot about the baby every day and week.  Another app I have is Libro Pregnancy Calender. It doesn't have a cool widget or anything like the other 2 but it has cute graphics and somewhat useful tips and info on it  :) it listed weekly and the tips and info aren't always necessarily for the week you are on so you can read ahead a bit on that one. Its a cute app but not my favorite.
A new one i found out about in writing this little blog was WonderWoman... I like the picture of the baby but the sizing is WAY OFF according to all the other places. One thing that cute though is it counts how many DAYS pregnant you are :P thats funny :p One thing nice about this app is it can be used before and after your pregnancy though! It has a calendar for ovulation and tracking periods and things. Ita also very CUTE!! It also has a very nice Diary feature too! One downside is it doesn't have too much info about the pregnancy

I added the links for each of the Apps/ widgets in case you were interested in them. I think they would be rather useful if you have an I-phone or an Android. I hope this little guide was semi useful for you if not I'm sorry I just bored 5 min's of reading time from your life!

Disappointment

OK so I don't want to make this a depressing post so I will forgo details but I'm highly disappointed in some people in this baby's life.
On the positive side:  I had to get an oil change today and Kyra and I ended up in the baby section at Walmart,  she wanted to buy out the store we restrained ourselves to a few items LOL I bought the changing table pad  to go on the changing table we bought a few days ago :) it fits perfect :) got a cute pink cover for it too  :)  I also saw a really cute Baby bath I just had to have so I bought to too..
I saw a baby sling which reminded me of the Mobi wrap so I headed to the fabric section and got 3 really cute fabrics for wraps I got them in 6.5 yards. 6 yards and 5.75 yards (different sizes to match different wrap styles) So while i was in the fabric section I needed to make sure it was enough fabric so I was wrapping myself up in the cloth LOL (I admit I looked kinda silly ) and a lady with a newborn came up and asked what it was doing. (she over heard me telling Kyra how the thing worked. So I showed her with HER baby LOL and put the baby in and showed her what to do and told her if she didn't get it right away to look on you tube and she proceeded to buy some fabric to do it too!!
Can I say I saved a GREAT amount of money this way! I bought the fabric for $1 a yard .. EACH Mobi wrap is over $50 each !! CHA-CHING SAVINGS!! and you don't get all the colors in the world to choose from!!
Anyway I have a long drive to Cali in the morning so I better get going! Plus I'm a tired lady!!

I HEAR YOU!!

So a big deal happened today!! Kyra and I came home from church early cause I wasn't feeling good so I thought I'd try to listen in to the baby (I've been trying a few times this week) and WE HEARD HER!! I recorded it and were very excited :) I posted the video below for the baby's heart beat :) I know its funny that I'm doing such a detailed blog but i just cant wait till the baby is grown and gets to see my thoughts and excitement every day !!

Ohhh YEAH .. and I forgot to mention. Yesterday We were garage saleing with my mom and we pulled up to this one house and the rocking chair I had talked about before, the one  in the dream I had 10 years ago, was there!! I knew it was it.. Some lady was looking at it and I Walked up and was like "I'm sorry this is SOLD" I didn't even care how much it cost me !! (it was only $30) I just knew that it was THE rocking chair!! 

Stretch **crack** ***sigh*** Ahhhhhhh

So I went the chiropractor this morning. WOW it felt really good, She did quite a few cool adjustments that were really cool. My coccyx feels MUCH better and my neck feels amazing!!
Then we went to lunch with mom (shocking really.. hahah were always having lunch together) Then we ran to DI,  I'm always canvasing the thrift store for Plus sized maternity clothes, its SO hard to find XXL maternity clothes so I'm constantly on the look out. Well as i was walking in I saw the clerk putting a HUGE rack full of maternity clothes in guess what size? XXL !! WOOO HOOO I was so excited!! I ended up getting 10 pairs of pants, some jeans and some work pants which makes me VERY happy cause I'm probably going to need to start wearing them in a few months or less :) So it was real good find !! I also bought some clearance maternity clothes from motherhood today :)

I have been researching Baby Wraps all day today I really like these mobi wraps I think I just may go buy material to have for this wrap. The cool part is you just buy 6 yards of fabric and watch youtube videos to see how to do the wraps and call it a day . I actually found an entire website dedicated to learning all the ties and wraps for the baby. theres even a way cool tie for a nursing baby :) Its way neat I cant WAIT!

Well tomorrow is a long day of garage sailing with mom in the morning so I gotta go to bed :) I'm sure Ill come home with loads of baby junk hahaha

8 week prego shot

 

OK so I didn't think I was growing THIS much but I really am!

I have 3 pictures here. The top one is today (8 weeks) Middle one is at (4 weeks) and bottom one is in Feb when I was doing HCG loosing my weight just in time for me to get fat LOL I cant believe Ive only gained 3 pounds since being pregnant! I look so much fatter!! maybe my fat is moving to feed the baby. Hey I'm creating my OWN HCG now LOL

 Notice the belly poking out past the chest. thats where you REALLY see the difference. Note my boobs are growing quite a bit too haha
